 Fruits and Vegetables: Mother Nature’s Pharmacy

 

It is now recommended that we eat 6 to 11 servings of fruits and vegetables per day (each serving is approximately the size of our fist). Wow, that seems like a lot of food! But the more the merrier when it comes to fruits and veggies, and here’s why:

Fruits and vegetables contain pretty much everything our bodies need to thrive. This includes fiber, complex carbohydrates, protein, fats, food enzymes, and phytonutrients. Fruits and veggies truly are Mother Nature’s pharmacy!
