Wellness Tip #4

Nutritional Facts Label

To Be Used with the Ingredients List

The Nutritional Facts Label tells us the serving size, calories, and nutrients per serving for packaged food. Remember that what really matters is the source of those nutrients. For example, two foods may have the same amount of carbohydrates, but one comes from whole grains (good) and the other from corn syrup (bad). Which one is healthier for our families? The Nutritional Facts Label should always be considered alongside the Ingredients List to make informed decisions about the foods we eat.
