11 - Portion Size: Are You Really Going to Eat All That?

 

It is crazy how we Americans love to go BIG or go home when we eat at restaurants. The amount of food we can consume when we go out to eat is impressive.

Before digging in, we need to look at the amount of food on our plate and then picture it all fitting into our belly (our stomachs are the size of a one-quart bag).

If you find yourself wondering how it’s all going to fit, it is probably too much food! 

Let’s set a good example for our kids by ordering less food or taking some home as leftovers for the next day.
