Water: It’s (Mostly) What We’re Made Of
That’s right. Humans are made up of approximately 70% water! We are not made up of 70% milk, juice, sports drinks, or soda. These products are made mostly of water but contain excess calories and chemicals we may not need. If possible, the majority of our fluid intake should be clean filtered water.
Here are some general recommendations for daily water consumption:
Children 1–3 years old: 24 oz per day
Children 4–8 years old: 32 oz per day
Children 9–13 years old: 48 oz per day
Children 14 years old and up: 64 oz per day
